Nano-Needling vs. Micro-Needling

We talked about the skincare treatments recommendation in my previous blog. Well, now we are going in just a quick article to talk about two (2) of the best treatments also offered in the spa.

These two (2) treatments are actually advanced rejuvenation treatment that helps your skin a lot.

NANO-NEEDLING INFUSION

Nano Infusion

Other people may confuse Nano-Needling and Micro-Needling. The treatments use a pen-like device that stimulates a skin reaction. They both cause cell turnover, which leads to skin transformation.

Nano-Needling Infusion works differently with Micro-Needling. The same type of motion is used to treat the skin, but it has 81 tips. Micro-Needling has either 12 or 36 fine needles. The cells within the skin are separated by hair-like cones. Nano-needling only pierces the upper surface of the skin. So, don’t worry.

The benefits of this treatment include increased cell turnover, skin rejuvenation, and an immediate glow with no downtime. Nano-needling treatment can be a 6 weeks-treatment.

According to an article made by TenseGrityHealth, unlike microneedling, nano infusion therapy is non-invasive. It does not wound the skin nor draw blood.

There is no pain, inflammation, or bleeding. It is also painless and very effective because it only affects the epidermis. It is safe for all skin types. There is no chance of post-traumatic hyperpigmentation.

Have you tried getting licked by the cat’s tongue? It’s much like it! This facial works for everyone that needs treatment to the following:

  • Scarring
  • Wrinkles
  • Fine lines (forehead lines or crow’s feet)
  • Skin pigmentation
  • Puffy eyes
  • Sagging eyes
  • Acne
  • Acne scars
  • Hair regrowth
  • Stretch marks
  • Improving skin tone and texture
  • Large pores
  • Lip lines

Nano-Needle Infusion

Nano-Needle Infusion enhances product absorption. This treatment triggers the skin’s natural regenerative process as it boosts collagen and elastin production.

THIS IS NOT FOR YOU IF

THIS IS NOT FOR YOU IF you have active cold sores, herpes simplex or warts in the area to be treated, open sores, sunburn, excessively sensitive skin within the application area, pregnancy, dermatitis or inflammatory rosacea within the application area.

IS THIS NANO-NEEDLE INFUSION EFFECTIVE?

If you’re hoping to reduce the appearance of fine lines around the eyes and lips, improve the tone and texture of your skin, shrink the appearance of your pore size, reduce pigmentation or lift and firm the skin, this treatment is highly effective.

MICRO-NEEDLING INFUSION

Micro-Needling Infusion

You already probably know this! It is a widely used treatment for hyperpigmentation and smoothens out acne scarring revealing healthy skin.

As stated above, Micro-Needling uses a needle cartridge with either 12 or 36 fine needles which can be adjusted to different depths.

According to Advanced Skincare, we use superficial settings (0.5 mm) for delicate areas around the eyes and deeper depths (2.0-2.5 mm) for acne scars and wrinkles.

The micro-injuries caused by the procedure increase the body’s natural healing process and promote skin rejuvenation. This procedure can help to reduce and smooth out the appearance of scars on the skin. Monthly treatments are required.

According to a study, skin treated with just four (4) microneedling sessions with one (1) month apart shows up to 400% increase in collagen and elastin deposition at 6 months. How great is that!

Depending on your goals, the treatments can range from 3-to 6 visits. Adding to your series of treatments for more deep scars is possible.

I got a piece of detailed information about Micro-Needling! Check out my previous blog about it here.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE OF MICRO-NEEDLING AND NANO-NEEDLING INFUSION?

The Difference Between a Micro Needle Tip and the Nano Needle Tip

The main difference between the two is the depth that the needles are able to penetrate into the skin. Nano-needling only punctures the first layer of the skin (epidermis) while micro-needling penetrates into the deep dermis.

Nano-needling only pierces the first layer of the skin, while Micro-needling punctures the deeper layers. If you’re worried about fine lines, swelling, dark skin, or sagging skin, then book a nano-needling treatment. On the other hand, if your concerns are deep wrinkles, hypo-pigmentation, acne scars, or even stretch marks, go for micro-needling.
